“Daughters & Sons of Destiny”
The Louise Patterson Pageant

April 25 08

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a special joy that you have chosen to be a part of a wonderful work that God is doing in the Sunday School family. We are elated about “Daughters & Sons of Destiny” (The Louise Patterson Pageant) named for our First Lady of the Church of God In Christ, Mrs., Louise Patterson. This opportunity applauds those young people who are aggressively and energetically pursuing all that God has purposed for them.
You will find that adjustments have been made to the pageant curriculum to offer ministry to the total person. One such adjustment that you will readily identify is that we have elected to open the pageant experience to both males and females. This decision was grounded in the recognition that God has given gifts, talents, skills, and abilities to our daughters and sons. He has a destiny for each of them. We offer the “Daughters & Sons of Destiny” pageant as a celebration of the deposit of gifts in their lives.
Our mission statement clearly positions us to be an extension of the Sunday School work. Even greater than a pageant activity, a special curriculum has been prayerfully designed to build greatness and strengthen character. We desire to be a part of the building process. We want also to render a positive influence to our youth as they determine their goals and pursue their dreams. Our aim is to better equip them to be leaders in the home, church, school, and community.
We esteem those leaders of the jurisdictional work who take this special opportunity to impart wisdom and guidance into the lives of our youth. We look forward to an exciting time as we celebrate our “Daughters & Sons of Destiny.”

Building Destiny,

Georgia Macklin Lowe
