Mother Georgia Macklin-Lowe was born the sixth out of ten children to the late Bishop and Mrs. F.D. Macklin in Tipton County Tennessee. God filled her life with the gift of the Holy Spirit at the tender age of eleven and at that time she dedicated her life to the Lord at Tipton Church of God in Christ. As a young lady, she proudly started her work in the church as a janitor and president of the Usher Board.

Mother Lowe was formally educated in the Public Schools of Tennessee. Her professional work experience and training included an A.A. Degree – Charles Harrison Mason Bible College – Bishop J.O. Patterson, Sr., President; B.S. Degree in Business Education, Lane College, Jackson, Tennessee; Elementary Education Teacher’s Training Certificate, University of Memphis; Charles Harrison Mason Bible College Instructor, Bishop F.D. Macklin, President; Business Education Teacher – Milwaukee Public Schools and retired Language Arts Teacher – Tipton County Public Schools.


Mother Lowe’s Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional experience began in Tennessee Central, Jackson, Tennessee, under the leadership of Bishop W.L. Porter. The late Supervisor Zelma Spight appointed her as Moderator and YWCC President, Department of Women. Mother Lowe strives to be innovative and creative. In 2004 she opened the Georgia Macklin-Lowe Preparatory Academy, a way to educate people who needed assistance with completing their GED. It also housed a college career center and a tutoring center for homework assistance. In the Tennessee 5th Jurisdiction, Memphis, Tennessee where Bishop Samuel Leon Lowe is the Prelate, she serves as the Co-Chairperson for the AIM convention and President of the Minister’s Wives.

In this Millennium, Mother Lowe has received more innovative challenges from God to do greater works in His vineyard. She has been honored to receive the appointment by the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson, as the International Sunday School Field Representative, Church of God in Christ. Also, she has been bestowed the honor of being elected to the International Trustee Board, Churches of God in Chris Inc. She’s the District Missionary, F.D. Macklin District.

Mother Lowe is a member and First Lady of the Gethsemane Garden Institutional Church of God in Christ, where her husband Bishop Samuel Leon Lowe is pastor.
